Snap your sharpest, most colourful close-ups and group shots, thanks to a new TrueDepth front camera, with autofocus and a larger aperture. It too now captures 2x better in low-light situations. On the count of three, say cheese. Now that the TrueDepth camera can automatically focus on multiple subjects at once, all your selfies‚ from stunning close-ups to group shots‚ look their sharpest.
Want to move beyond photos into professional looking video production? Whether you’re filming while hiking up a rocky track or chasing your kids through the park, try Action mode for smooth and steady hand-held image stabilised videos. Cinematic mode automatically shifts focus to the most important subject in a scene, just like filmmakers do. And now you can record in 4K at 24 fps‚ the same frame rate you see in the movies, or 30 fps and even 60 fps for slow motion videos.
The iPhone 14 adds a new safety feature – Crash Detection. The phone can detect a severe car crash, then call 000 and notify your emergency contacts. It uses a variety of the phones sensors including a new high g-force accelerometer that senses extreme accelerations or decelerations up to 256 Gs, a high dynamic range gyroscope monitors drastic changes in a car’s orientation, the barometer can detect pressure changes caused by deploying airbags, and the microphone identifies the extreme sound levels of a collision. For privacy, all processing is done on your iPhone.
